VaporStream is an entirely new type of software service that helps solve many of the most critical communication and collaboration needs of an organization that are not being and cannot be met by e-mail, text and IM.Through VaporStream you can send written electronic messages that are never recorded, not at the source, not enroute, not at the destination. Though they look like traditional e mail, text or IM, VaporStream messages cannot be copy/cut/pasted, forwarded, printed, or saved. Even screen scraping or taking a photo of the message display is neutered! And, after your recipient reads your message, it is GONE Forensically verified by an independent test lab, VaporStream leaves no trace. Like traditional electronic messaging, it can be read on or offline, but that is where the similarities end. VaporStream is much more like an actual conversation, with all the same benefits and few of the draw backs of e-mail (like being worried about what you write, or having to file, archive, and manage thousands of transitory e-mails).
VaporStream is a service. No software is required. Enroll in the service and you can start holding written conversations through a browser. VaporStream also offers a Desktop Application that runs as a sidebar and accesses your Outlook or Notes contacts list when you would like to send a message. For mobile use, VaporStream offers Blackberry, iPhone, and Windows Mobile apps that also access their respective contacts lists to make sending a message easy. All reader apps are free. All you need to use the service is an enrollment user name and password.
VaporStream offers the VaporStream Enterprise Server for organizations that want to manage their VaporStream users locally. VES sits within the organization’s perimeter and accesses AD to set groups and user permissions to the service. The VES can also impose content restrictions – a dictionary of black listed words, for example – that an organization might have.
